Fading text problem

Hi
I am having trouble creating fading text.
I can get it to work on stage, but wheni preview it, it does nothing.

This is what i am doing:

1. create text
2. instert keyframe at 20
3. convert to movie clip in 1
4. set alpha to 0
5. convert to movie clip in 20
6. set alpha to 100 in 20
7. create motion tween

any ideas what i'm doing wrong?

Err, rather complicated series of steps there mate. Try this:

1. Create text
2. Insert keyframe at 20
3. Click on frame 1, hold shift key, then click on frame 20
4. With all 20 frames selected, right-click on the frames, and select "Create Motion Tween"
5. Click on frame 1, then click on text, then change "Color" in properties to Alpha 0%

That's it .
