Back when I was in my 20's, a long haired rebel without a cause, I was in a buzzed convo with a friend I have known since Jr.Hi.
We were talking about rednecks, prejudice and such when I said I understood what it was like to be judged by how you look, and he smiled at me and said, Kenny, you can cut your hair, but I'll always be black.
(shortened version of the story, but you get the point)

That my friends was a life lesson I'll never forget.

How do we know it was based on race?

I'm thinking that most rich women that go in that store are skinny and have nice hair.

probably #1 show right now and "Trump" in the same story ...the skeptic in me, thinks just a publicity stunt!

It's pretty common to go into a very high end shop and be treated as a nobody - especially when you are not obviously wealthy. Go ahead, wear your jogging clothes to the nearest jewellery store and ask to try on a $50,000 watch. They may let you try it on, but they won't be falling all over themselves.
It's fairly common for people who have experienced racism to attribute every slight as yet more racism. Sometimes the explanation is simpler though. Sales clerks in high-end shops are notorious snobs.
Didn't anybody see the shopping scene in Pretty Woman?

Funny story, but if you own a place, you have the right to not serve people for whatever is your own reason. It is the owners right to make an ass out of himself by not dealing with people he feels he does not want to deal with.

Just to be PC, everywhere I said he, you can replace that with she or it, if that makes you happy.

Lost in all this is the complete lack of sympathy we should all feel for someone who wasn't able to waste $30K on a purse.

DD is the most contrived show on television since.. well.. The Real World.

I look like such a slob that the guys at Subway won't make me a lunch special until I pay first.
