Facebook business page?

I'm trying to set up a page for our website and I'm lost!

I select the category to create a page and enter the company name. Then I agree to terms and it asks me to sign in. Sign in to what? I haven't created the account yet. What to do?

You need an FB account to create a business page.

If you don't have an FB account, the you will need to create one first.

You wouldn't be able to create a business page without an account.

Well, I never had an FB account as well. So I created one.

At the time, I tried creating a FB account using my business name, but the dictionary words were rejected as part of the name. lol

So I used my own name, and once I verified the account, I created a business page. When you have the business page, FB allows you to post and like, etc as your business name and not your real name when it comes to that page.

In the settings section , you are asked if you are setting up a community from memory, i did for vidfies the week. When i went back a week later is was an 'official community page' there are various options including business, entertainment, there is a arrow head pointing down up top right hand side, the drop down menu reveals the 'create a page' link ….. easy enough once you are there !
