Never heard of it before, but it just looks like any other domain registrars out there, is there a particular reason you are looking at this company Jim?

You won't see anything from the public site at fabulous.com. All of the goodies are only available to larger portfolio holders that they accept into their program. Use that link above to the other namepros thread, then in the first post click on the link to the DNJournal.com story to find our how it all works. There is nothing else out there like them. Since they personally select each customer they work with they also know who you are so the customer service is unrivaled. If you have a problem or a question you talk to someone at the top. It is a small group so it is easy enough for them to manage that way. Very refreshing to get instant access and answers compared to the lousy or non-existent customer service at so many other registrars out there. I manage my entire portolio of 2,000 domains from Fab - even the many domains that are not even registered there.

Dan Warner dropped me a note tonite and said they have set up a special email address at Fab to accomodate information requests from our readers (because they know many of them are the kind of domain professionals they are interested in working with). It is [email protected] if you wish to contact them.

Couldn't have put it better myself - unrivalled customer service that you get from this company. Read Dukes article - It was written after I had signed up with them and it was like a mirror image of my own experience with them.

As Duke says, all the goodies are hidden away from the public areas but once you see the parking/traffic/revenue tools they have available for you you will be amazed.

how much at fab

can anyone give me a crude estimate of how much i can make at fabulous ??? i know many people may have just started parking there but if anyone has any clue it would help...

say i park 100 descriptive .com names that directly match their categories ?

also, in the DNjournal article it said that they have "over 1000"
categories to choose from ... when i go to the roar page i only see about 300 categories and subcategories ...

i know this may be a question for fab support but i'm still waiting to hear back from them and i need to know asap

thanks

Hey there samename - firstly, I think most people from here have only been with fabulous for the short term so far ( the initial thread went up a week or so before christmas) so figures are sketchy in that amount of time. What I can say is that I have a large number of domains with fabulous. Not all are traditional traffic type in domains ( I only have a couple of these and they are converting quite well). Even my non traffic domains are managing to get some form of conversion when traffic arrives. Google bots have visited the pregenerated sites already and I am getting listings appearing for them in google so they obviously like them. In a nutshell though - you won't know unless you try it.

With regards to the over 1000 categories, I have just reread Dukes DNJournal article and can't see that claim anywhere - can you point me in the right direction for it. Remember though as well that there are the categories for the Dark Blue scheme as well which split down and you can pick individual advertisers if you want.

Thanks ... i only counted the roar keywords ... i'll check out the deep blue...

in terms of the $ potential i do know that i will have to test it out but i'm soooo new at this that i am literally just trying to ball park it ... $1 / month per site or $10 / month per site ...

i just don't want to throw all my names up and than find that i can't even make $1 / month to offset my reg fees ...

I have not tried their parking but I have 2 names over there. Very good interface, I only with they had a few more TLD's. I think both they and Regfly have easy to use interfaces.

For high volume customers who get access to all of the tools and special rates - Yes. Anyone can use the public site and pay $19.95 per reg (not much incentive there :D) but what you want is to get into their partner program and they do handpick those.

Fab offers an excellent service. Customer service and feature set are amazing and for redirects .... seems like none of the down time you get at mydomain.

I would recommend never using just one service, as some names perform better at different places and if there are outages you aren't totally screwed by having names all in one place.

Fab is a A-plus service and worth considering.

imho

Fabulous' interface is quite amazing if you get the wholesale account. Makes the rest look a bit puny, now if their pricing was competitive with enom I would strongly consider moving.

My price (based on 1000+ domains under management) is BETTER than my Enom reseller account (and I have a very low priced one).
