Hello good morning, I want to be as detailed as possible on how I am generating some money by buying and reselling domains using the expireddomains.net website
It is a very simple methodology and I think you can help me improve it.

To buy domains that I consider to have value and then resell them on the Namecheap market: $5 to $19 usd
Sedo: $5 to $19 usd
Afternic: Value over $50 usd

70% of the domains are sold on Namecheap, Sedo 20% and Afternic 10%.

I think this is because under the modality I am working with trying to hunt for opportunities on expireddomains.net, most of the domains have a value between $5 to $19 usd.

I'm very comfortable registering domains on Namecheap since I sell 70% of them there, so adding them to their marketplace is a matter of 2 or 3 simple steps.

I think I can do better and here is my step-by-step guide that I consider when registering and what things I'm overlooking but that I know are relevant and that I've been learning here on this forum:

Currently I look at words with a high search volume on Google, words that exist in the dictionary and relevant topics. It's gone well for me, but I want to improve the process.
And i look number of TDLS registered with this domain.
These 2 things are what he told me the most about, nothing more.

So, what other things should I look for to make a domain valuable? For example, I don't take into account information that the platform shows such as: TTF (Majestic topical trust flow) or the trust flow, the trust ratio, the citation flow, I don't analyze the backlinks or anything like that.

My question is whether a non-expert buyer will look at backlinks when buying on Namecheap, or rather; Those who know about this, like most of you, are looking for opportunities on Namecheap?

I also have the same doubt for Sedo and Afternic; do I have the opportunity to increase those percentages mentioned above if I look at other information such as:

Backlinks, TTF (Majestic topical trust flow), trust flow, trust ratio, citation flow, I'm not looking at any of that.

I'll be waiting, greetings and thanks.

namecheap is ripoff for prices plus a shit ui.

sav is best ui and best prices plus their market is better. it takes 2 clicks to list auction there. or bin.

iwould go with sav. but u compare. it's just important to know there are alternatives to namecheap and a good 10 or so of them are infinitely better .. ui and price wise. gl

as for expireddomains.net it's actually the best place to reg names. but u still need a good few years of domain experience to know what to buy. there is no magic formula..there is only hard work.

selling names for xx bins is not a given. u still need sellable names. if everyone could reg for 10 and sell for 20 or 30 within a year we would all be millonaires..yet no one is.

So you buy a name for $9-10 on Namecheap and you sell it for $5-10, I guess, as higher prices don't work on NC marketplace. You scraping the barrel with this great 'system.' If you are based in a third world country, 5-10 bucks a day probably mean something..

Thank you for your response. Based on your experience that you mention and upon reading my text, what suggestion could you make me? or what feedback regarding what else to take into account?

Based on the fact that today I only look at the number of Google searches and registered tdls numbers.

Regards,

well the key in domaining is to look at name and know its chance of selling.. the more experienced u have the better u are at picking those names. u cant predict if a name will sell but u can predict odds of selling.. and that experience has no magic formula and comes with time invested...like everything in life we get out what we get in... for domains that means reading np..namebio... domain trends etc... enjoy the ride

This is not a sustainable 'methodology' and probably loads of others guys tried and failed. Most expired domains will sell for $5 if they sell at all, which is half of what you bought them from. That's why you started this thread..if you were so successful, I highly doubt you would ask for advice..
Instead of looking for hacks, do what literally everyone else here does. There are no 'hacks.'
If you don't have money to do it, get a job.. Start slow, and grow slow, while you leaning at the same time.

When I started domaining, and since it was something completely new to me, I started low by registering domains at regfee (it was well below $10 back then) and selling them at GD for $18 or $28, depending upon the domain and never higher than that.

Did it work? it did. I was selling quite a few and learned a lot in the process.

If it worked why stop then? because of time versus money. It just wasn't worth it. It's way more efficient to use that knowledge and start looking for more valuable domains that will save you time and earn you more money.

I agree with you and I have several domains there to sell that do not even move and there is no interest, others expire, currently adding and subtracting the profitability is not incredible and I project what you say; In the long run it won't be a very good deal.

I don't want a magic formula but rather to be transparent and say that I would like to improve, for example understanding what to look for in backlinks, I have read the importance in the forum but I don't fully understand it, or whether Majestic's information is relevant or not, For some reason expireddomains delivered it but I don't know how to read it, I have used the namepros search engine but I can't find any thread that can resolve these concerns that I'm thinking about, but I completely agree that there is nothing magical formula in life, only learning and working hard.
