Hiii friends I have a simple query please help me out...
Suppose a domain expired on 1 January then after how many days will the register will open the domain to the public for registering again.
If this time period is constant or it varies from registrar to registrar.
I am following a domain which has expired and now I am waiting for the registrar to open the domain for registering again. For how much time I have to wait and also if I can register it only from the registrar who will unlock it or from any other registrar...
If I backorder it from godaddy or it is possible to get the exact date of unlocking by the registrar
Thanks

The WHOIS is saying that the domain expired on 1 january 2010 but registry data showing expiring date 2011,,what does this means guys
------------------------------
Also it has the following return under the expiration data
NOTICE: The expiration date displayed in this record is the date the
registrar's sponsorship of the domain name registration in the registry is
currently set to expire. This date does not necessarily reflect the expiration
date of the domain name registrant's agreement with the sponsoring
registrar. Users may consult the sponsoring registrar's Whois database to
view the registrar's reported date of expiration for this registration.
