Hey everyone

My name’s Shaun, and I’m brand new to the world of domain trading — but I’m going all in. I’ve recently started building a portfolio and have been learning as much as I can from forums, YouTube, and podcasts.

I’m particularly interested in quick flipping, leasing, and finding ways to increase the value of domains through smart outreach and branding. Still very early days for me, but I’m already hooked and eager to learn from those who’ve been in the game a while.

Would love to hear any advice from seasoned investors — especially what you wish you knew when you started. Also happy to connect and chat with others just starting out.

Welcome. There's ton of info throughout these forums and a lot of knowledgeable people. Don't hesitate to reach out any questions.

One piece of advice, learn to piece through the "get rich quick" engagement farming fluff with actually good advice. You'll learn that domaining requires quite a bit of patience so anyone that tells you otherwise isn't too sincere.

Welcome. This is the best advice I would go back in time to give myself. Take your time. Even if you think you have great names, be patient and see for yourself what sells and what doesn't.

I'd also probably tell my earlier self to start off selling domains wholesale first for a while, as you get faster feedback on what works.

Thanks all making some decent regular income with this now, I decided to put effort in geo+location domains, and it's really opened my eyes to the possibilities,

I started a test project with my own business of tree surgery and got myself 10+ service domains for the area I live, I pushed them with seo backlinks etc and within in a few months ive started getting leads for work amazing untapped potential!

I have some systems I've been working on and I'd like to keep everyone updated along the way!

Love this industry already!
