Examples of developed sites such as GeoHawaii.com?

I came across these sites www.GeoHawaii.com and www.GeoCanada.com

There are a lot of domains registered using Geo+State.com, Geo+Country.com and Geo+City.com

Since I have some such names also, I am wondering if anyone else knows any more such sites developed.

I want to study how people are developing/monetizing these sites.
