Ever wanted to see how your site looks on another OS/browser?

Just came across this really cool site from a designer who mentioned it to me:

http://www.browsercam.com

They list all the Operating System / Browser combo's you can possibly think of at http://www.browsercam.com/Features.aspx which is great! Now you don't need to keep posting to ask your geeky Linux friends to see how your site looks on a "Konqueror" browser

Another cool feature is the fact you can have 'remote access' to each of these OS/browsers, to see it realtime from any browser you have yourself; for those of you familiar with something like Symantec pcAnywhere, it lets you remote control a computer from a browser with the same interface.

Although the prices seem expensive, for those of you developing cross-browser websites and need to ensure your layout looks exactly as you intended it to be; best of all, most of the plans offer unlimited screen captures so you'll be able to save them to see later. :tu:

Thought it might be a helpful website for many, I mentioned it to a few on MSN and they never heard about such a site either. If you have a chance to subscribe, let us know how it works too :)

PS: If you do mention this elsewhere, would be nice to cite your source :p

Wow, that's expensive!

Seems like a really cool tool but its cheaper to just download the different browsers and change your resolution.

Thanks, glad you liked it! Might be useful to reference for the web design discussion forum, if any is interested

IMO, the monthly deals are much more reasonable than the 24 hour ones, but yes it can still be pricey for the casual user. Although you can probably download the browsers, the OS interpretation of them can be different, hence the idea of having the ability to view the site on multiple OS's; especially for the Mac, people usually complain their site looks different even on a IE-browser

I've added rep as this is a cool website, and really helps me understand codeing problems certain members are having with my site.
