Like another 180 million plus homes in Europe my family just watched the Eurovision Song Contest - which was this year won by a bearded lady from Austria.
The amazing thing about this show is that, even though it is totally crap, it has run for over half a century and seems to only get more popular.
For reasons I cannot understand it is even popular outside of Europe and according to wikipedia has a global audience of around 600 million. To put that in perspective the Superbowl, also according to wikipedia, is watched by around 93 million people.
This years show, which came from Denmark, was unique in the fact they happily mentioned their website several times.
And guess what, it's one of those pesky .tv names
Eurovision.tv
Even more amazing is the fact the same organisation also own Eurovision.com but choose the .tv as it's main public site.
Change isn't a coming … it's landed, took root, and is now kicking ass!
