The sunrise period starts from 7th December 05 when public bodies, companies and individuals from the different Member States of the European Union will be able to register their own domain name with '.eu' extension. Two months later(7th february '06 ) company names and artistic names may claim registration of a corresponding .eu domain. Another two months later (7th April '06) registration will open to all, and claims to a .eu domain name will no longer require backup by a legal right
