Ethan's Operation

Many of you will remember that there was an auction to raise money for ethan, which was a great success. The surgery he was due to have kept getting delayed, either due to the hospital or ethan not being well enough.

Finally Ethan has a date - 17th September.
He will be going into hospital on the 15th, have an MRI on the 16th, and have the surgery on his legs and hips on the 17th. The will be in hospital for 3 - 10 days depending on how well he recovers. I will keep you posted on his progress

Depending on how things go he will either be in a half body cast, then have intensive physio or have 6 weeks of intensive physio. Thanks to namepros and a charity called Cerebra, Ethan is going into hospital kitted up with a nice laptop to keep him busy

Ethan's surgery went well yesterday he was in theatre for about an hour. He has been a bit sick and was in loads of pain last night, but seems a bit more settled today. Unfortunately they noticed something during surgery so looks like he will be back in a few months for another procedure

Sorry to hear about the procedure that Ethan has to go through again in a few months. Sounds like they found out some good information during this last procedure and have a plan on action to further correct things. Best of luck...

Still in quite a bit of pain but he seems to be getting back to himself. He maybe able to come home soon although will probably stay in bed for a while at home.

It looks like Ethan will be home on Monday which is good news. It will be a while before he is well enough to go to school, but he has made good progress. He will be in his half body cast until November. They should take the stiches out in a week or so.
