if some one had a country domain eg newzealand.com etc
and owned it in all major extentions i.e net/ org/com/info

what do you think it would be worth ?
i know estimationg this would be very difficult just post a range
ie min value - max value

I don't know who would own the whole set, but that would be, depending on which country, from low $x,xxx to high $xx,xxx If it were one of world superpowers like japan.com, etc., it could go that high, potentially, but not for democraticrepublicofcongo.com, etc.

You guys are missing the most important factor. Country names are of 'Two Types'. First type is which is 'Commonly known' (being the short form) and Second type is which is the 'Official' or 'Legal' name of the country (being the long form).

I have following (Official) names of the countries:
RepublicOfIndia.biz (Short form = India)
RepublicOfKorea.biz (Short form = Korea)
FederativeRepublicOfBrazil.com (Short form = Brazil)

I was ( and still I am) ready to sell all of these three names just for US$ 25,000, but I never received an offer even for US$ 250...??? 'All extensions of 'Brazil' are still available, anybody can go and get them... Not only this, various 'Official' names of the countries are still available for registration..... but..!!! Nobody likes those stupendously long names..!!

SO, WHAT DO YOU GUYS SAY NOW ??

i agree woth you completely but you see like in republic of india has 3 words and india is just a single word that has bound to take its toll because when assigning value to names legnth is an important factor and so is memorability.
the final point is names such as korea.com can have endless nice subdomains er cinemas.korea.com etc but in longer names this doesnt work out eg cinemas.republicofkorea.com

AGREED, But what I wanted to point out simultaneously that even Governments are not concerned about these domains. ".gov" tld has sucked the 100% value out of these names. For example, ABCCountry.com has no value to the Government of 'ABCCountry' because it has 'ABCCountry.gov' to operate with.... But here comes another major issue regarding bias of US Government, which I think, must be started at a separate thread....

Wait, what countries are using .gov for their domains besides America? Don't the other countries use their own ccTLD?
