Estate or Real Estate? What is the proper form?

I am in doubt to purchase a set of domains with the keywords Estate or Real Estate.

Example:

LasVegasEstate.extension

or

LasVegasRealEstate.extension

What is the accepted form?... Estate? or Real Estate?
Which would be better...never mind the longness of the example above but keep in mind what is grammer wise the best decision?
Are these words basicly the same or are they addressing different things?

I can't really put my finger on this issue...
Hope some of you guys can help me out on this :)

with regards to search engine, the real estate is much better than estate but we are building sites to our visitors and not for search engines.

try to search for domains short and easy to remember since most online visitors are lazy to type long urls's on the the address bar. also, try to avoid dash domains. ;)

If you can get the names for reg fee, reg them both. Estate seems to imply more things than just property(possesions). Real estate deals only in property.

I would say real estate is the correct way for Property domains (for the US market)

In overture if you type in estate you get - 51980 as a result - Real Estate gets a result of 2560961

Quiet a difference !

I would also do as brindle suggests if possible.

I would pass on estate, my buddy goes to estate sales all the time which are basically when someone dies their family has an estate sale and sells everything inside of the house, furniture etc... so I think you are better with "real estate" and don't forget "realty" as another option.

estate usually refers to large buildings (like mansions , eg. governor's estate) or large land properties (definition , source: infoplease)

real estate (and real property) refers to buildings or land in general (definition , source: infoplease)

even though I think domains should be as short as possible (this depends on many things , though) in this case real estate is more appropriate for general usage ... especially with those overtures ... avoid hyphens (in general) ... and other extensions than .com if you are trying to sell to end-users (especially for high prices) ...

Thanks guys, i'm learning more and more here :) So would realty be a good substitute?
Wasn't this term trademarked?

Realtor is a trademarked term. I don't think realty is.

If your focus is commercial or residential property (land/homes/office space), then the appropriate term is ... Real Estate. And "realty" is way generic, not trademarked.

real estate has 2.5M overture
estate has only 51K overture

so definitely go with real estate

I think it's safe to say the correct term is real estate. People and search engines alike recognise real estate to be property, and even though it means the domain is 1 word longer, it's still better.

Put it this way...which would be worth more? estate.com or realestate.com? I think the second one.
