I use Escrow.com all the time, and have never had a problem. However, it is possible to be a victim of fraud on ANY escrow service. For example, let's say the customer has paid, and escrow confirms receipt of the funds. You then transfer the domain to the customer. Escrow waits for the customer to confirm that they have received the domain. If this customer is a thief, they can say "I haven't received the domain" (even though they've changed the password and you no longer have access to it... but they leave the contact info to your info to make it look like you still own it). You've lost the domain and escrow will refund the funds to the customer. The only chance you have now to get the domain back is to get escrow involved in investigations with the new domain registrant. It could become a mess that they don't want to spend much time on. This is a purely made-up scenario, but I'm just trying to make you aware that no system is fool-proof.
