I'm new to all this and first I want to say hi to all of you out there!
I have read a lot of topics and materials here and it's a lot to take in. It will take me some time to sink all this info ;).

As I'm marketing my for sales elsewhere too, offers have started to come in and I need to speed up on my learning curve so I'll ask you this.

I want to use an outside escrow services (escrow, dan), and I'm in a 60 days lock period. So I'll sell through push transfer.
But how does that works with escrow?
1) Buyer sends money to escrow
2) Escrow notifies me to push transfer the domain to the buyer? (or is it to escrow acc?).
3) I do that and escrow releases the funds to me (seller).

If I did the push transfer directly to buyer acc how would the escrow have proof that I did it? Or I must push it directly to escrow acc, not to the buyer...?

Thank you in advance and I wish you a lot of success in 2020.!

Question No 2.
I have managed to acquire one .com domain through backorder on Hexonet, whois says that it's registered by 1api. I looked it up and they are a subsidiary of Hexonet.
I logged in to my Hexonet acc and they have only change of registrant(trade) option available. Is that considered a push also?

Is it possible to use Hexonet to push transfer to escrow services?

Hi
you can always "wait" until lock period is ended.

1. yes
2. push to buyers account, at the same registrar where the domain is currently registered.
3. yes, funds released, after buyer confirms receipt
4. take screenshot of whois with your info, prior to pushing the name and take one after push.
also save email of that "push" or transfer of ownership notification.request.

I usually forward a copy to buyer as well

yes, change of registrant is considered a push.

you do not transfer or push to escrow, you push to buyers account at the same registrar or accept transfer request sent from the buyer. if they ask for an auth code.

imo...

Escrow is a way of transferring property from the seller and money from the buyer through use of a third party which is neutral. Escrow accounts hold mortgage and insurance payments, generally two months worth. ... The seller transfers the property title to the escrow agent and the buyer transfers funds.

Hello- I would encourage you to look into Epik Escrow Service here: https://escrow.epik.com/.

While it is ideal for the domain to be transferred to Epik to complete the escrow deal, we can work with those who are selling domains less than 60 days old.

If you are interested in discussing further please email me directly at [email protected] or here through NP!

I’d encourage you to follow actual advice from members selling domains giving you their true life experiences versus copy/paste sales spiels.

Some members here do use epik. I prefer escrow.com as it reeks of respectability and is well known in the industry. Even if a buyer has never heard of domain escrow it’s easier to present something to him named escrow.com versus some of the domain marketplace transfer services, has been my experience.

With escrow.com you may use their more expensive concierge service where they handle the transfer but otherwise you do it and the buyer must verify receipt. However even if the buyer never verified receipt you may eventually have escrow verify it themselves and release funds to you. I’ve never had a buyer in an escrow of mine deny receiving the domain although some are slower than others at logging into escrow and clicking to confirm and accept receipt.

Hello- thank you for mentioning Epik. Yes, I do work for Epik and have been with the company for almost 8 years now. We have offered escrow for years now but have recently did an upgrade to the service and many who have used it are very satisfied. In my reply on this thread, I only supplied information in which I have seen customers wish to receive when inquiring about a domain and using escrow, so it was a real response and not a copy & paste. :) If you are ever interested in learning more about Epik or our services you too can reach out to me directly or through here, NP and I would be happy to assist you! Have a great day!
