I recently contacted the owner of Epyk.net and he agreed to sell it for quite a low price. I plan on developing it as my own domaining site/blog, but now that I own it, I'd like to know how much it's actually worth.

I have no experience with VCVC.nets, and the recorded sale prices of them are all over the place. Any ideas?

Many of them that I can find seem to be around mid xxx on average. The other guys here know much better than I do, though.

It is a really cool name, I think; it's like "epic." I like it. ;)

edit: just noticed your signature. It has my vote for the most awesome sig in the entire forum.

Thank you sir! Yeah, it's pronounced 'epic,' for anyone who didn't pick up on that =P

Hmm... I just dont see it as having much value on its own, it might be pronounceable but its also not very word of mouth friendly, I guess Im just not feeling it.

Since Epic is a trademark for several "Epic" Entities, value will depend upon development. And development can have nothing to do with gaming or online gaming, the medical profession or insurance. Perhaps some other things, so you should check that out and make sure you will be OK with what you have planned.

However, it fails on a couple of levels, as it isn't easily understood if spoken without spelling it out. But it is short, so it is easy to spell outloud quickly.

I don't really consider the y or k as premium letters, either. But they do seem memorable.

It isn't really a word, so if you can associate it with a name to establish it as an acronym, that would bypass all the above prejudices against it, I would think.

$100 to $120 undeveloped but with a purpose in mind.
