I use Enom, mainly because we have for several years and it is nice to have everything together ( Got a $6.95 account ).

I like the way it is easy to set up re-seller accounts and the way it can invoice our clients directly.

They do seem to have had a few problems recently ( since they upgraded their mail servers ) but it seems to have settled down now.

Just hope they do not sell out just yet :)

All the best

Richard

Hi there Dan!
As Admin RJ has pointed out, there are no other charges and there is no fee associated with the transfer of ownership of a domain! After the purchase, you will be able to login and change registrant information as well as DNS servers. There is no additional services (eg. redirection, park page).

i can confirm that also, i do transfer a domain from other company to my enom account and they do not change me anything, don't even need to pay 1 year extra for that actually

There are no other charges, and ownership transfer is free.

hi,
drag up the dead dog
if rackshack is 5.41 wouldnt it be better/more economical to
buy here and move later
if the price goes up?
compare to namecheap/enom 8.88/7.95/6.95
there will be quit a saving if you buy like
30-60 names ??:-/

any comments

Well you have to figure the transfer cost.. it's the cost of a new name where you are moving it to.. I'd rather just reg it somewhere else.. in the longrun you save money, I think.

Exactly right, you will save a lot of money if you register a lot of domains with Rackshack. The service is excellent for the price.

Now I still do use eNom for domains I need extra features on like domain forwarding or DNS, but I am primarily registering with EV1 at the present.

There's speculation that the Rackshack price will go up next year, but even if that's the case you can transfer away anytime a week before you have to renew it. Take advantage of this price while you can!

RS is good because its cheap. If you want other features, eNom by far.

After getting used to their setup, I am really liking Enom. They make it really easy to manage lots of domains. Transfers can be a pain (even if a small one).

Ev1 has good prices for now, but not nearly the same set of features or range of possible tlds. It's nice to have all the domains in one spot.

If anyone wants an $8.95 account, let me know and I'll set one up for you.

I haven't had much domain expirence.. but I have used eNom and NameCheap. Out of those two eNom wins :tu:

I love Rackshack simply because of their price. If I have a web hosting account that could host multiple domain names, then I would always use Rackshack no doubt!!

I keep wishing that BuyDomains/Ultsearch would move all hundreds of thousands of domains they own to RackShack/EV1.... :) :) :)

That would be a $100-300k loss probably...

Rackshack/ev1servers has a HUGE downside. You can't give your names multiple years, not even at their 6.41+tax price.

I think they are planning to jack up the price on renewals to recover all that they lost on the $5 promotion.

They are really a BARE BONES registrar as features go, so I don't think they are a good deal. I'm looking to transfer my names out. The fact that we can't add years to your name is a dealbreaker for me.
