"British" is a very broad, and currently debased word. There has been so much dilution that it has lost most of its traditional meaning. "English" is country specific ( Britain is not a country), but in using it you rule out Welsh, Scottish and Irish cakes.

thank you Kuffy. I own the domain name EnglishCakes/com which I put to auction multiple times with no success. And when googling the keywords the appellation British Cakes shows more often than the English Cakes one.

It's one of my pet annoyances that everybody assumes that English means British. Try telling a Scotsman, or a Welshman, or an Irishman that he is " British", so why can't we have an English country identity.

Anyway back to your problem. You have a registrar landing page, so you don't really have much control over the traffic. If you have the time, I would create a mini-site, and add a link to send potential buyers to your sales page. You can then add some descriptions of English cakes that could lead some buyers to your name. English cakes are traditonal products like Pontefract cakes. You could also include Bath buns and even Cornish pasties. :)
