Elon Musk is about creating an unbiased search engine and email service that will rival Google.

What do you think he will name it?

Where will Elon buy his priceless domain from? Buy Ask.com, Elon! Ask (Remember, Jeeves?) has not been relevant and could serve as the perfect “search” engine name.

"Unbiased" is a stretch considering what he's done with Twitter.

It would be best if he bought one of my domains. Doesn't matter which one, long as it's one of mine. Just sayin'

I don't see it happening, it's obvious he's completely clueless on how search engines work, apparently most of his followers are as well. Many search engines have come and gone. If there is any that shows promise, either the bigger ones copy what they're doing or buy them and shut them down. Example, video in the search results, bigger ones just started doing it. Yahoo has bought many search engines, some good ones like AllTheWeb back in the day. Forgot all the others.

And he's not unbiased, it's marketing bs people eat up. You saw it here with Rob/Epik, people are gullible/easily fooled. He's not truly about free speech, that's obvious to anybody paying attention. He's about control and ok with speech he approves of. You can look what he's doing with Twitter, biased to the right, hoping to get Trump elected so he can pay lower taxes and have a President he can control.

Sounds like you are referring to Elon Musk's newly released "TruthGPT" (Which technically, isn't a search engine):
But in a bit of irony, Musk’s solution to counter both Google and OpenAI is to create an AI program that can freely research and comment on any topic. “I think this might be the best path to safety in the sense that an AI that cares about understanding the universe is unlikely to annihilate humans because we are an interesting part of the universe. Hopefully, they would think that,” Musk said.
Source
Musk previously claimed, “what we need is TruthGPT”. The ‘need’ is due to Musk’s view that ChatGPT was trained “to be politically correct” and so offers a liberal bias in its responses. As such, it is designed to offer “unbiased truth” in its responses. According to TruthGPT’s whitepaper, this is the result of data collected from “a broad range of both credible and alternative sources to support its claims”.
Source
Congratulations for being amongst the rare elite who have discovered TruthGPT, the world's first unbiased* talking artificial intelligence (AI) chat bot.

Designed to compile information quickly, TruthGPT then shares the information either in text or using proprietary TrueSpeak technology to interact with its users. Unlike other AI chat bots, TruthGPT takes a far-more measured approach than competitors, focusing on providing unbiased responses, devoid of political, cultural, or social biases- one of the hardest achievements for any chat bot. To accomplish this feat, TruthGPT uses a broader dataset, incorporating both traditional and highly credible, as well as alternative sources.

As for Elon Musk and an eMail service:
As the furor over a hoax email purporting to come from Google and detailing how Gmail was to supposedly be closed down on August 1 starts to evaporate, Elon Musk just added fuel to the fire by claiming to be developing a new email service called Xmail.
Source

Note: I wasn't able to really find much (if anything) about an actual search engine Elon is working on, other than the TruthGPT.

As for Elon Musk and an eMail service:

What does that mean for the domain XMAIL.com?

Does Google suddenly have millions of dollars to try to buy XMAIL.com for millions as a defensive reg?

Does this domain owner list it for auction on X.com so the world can watch Google and Elon outbid one another?

Would X.com's bidder verification be strong enough to combat troll or shill bidding?

Oh how great it'd be to see the domain owner of XMAIL.com come to namePros Auctions where we can watch Google and Elon duke it out!

There was also talk of videos but Xvideos.com already taken, there were rumors Elon bought them but they were false.

They have Twitter X For TV that I was just about to try but it has 1.5 out of 5 ratings and they're charging $4.99 for it.

"X CEO Linda Yaccarino posted on the platform Tuesday saying the new app “is changing everything” and “will be your go-to companion for a high-quality, immersive entertainment experience on a larger screen.”

I doubt it. Should have made it free, get people to use it, more views and such, something to sell advertisers on.

https://www.forbes.com/sites/mollyb...know-about-xs-new-cross-device-video-service/

Elon should have stayed neutral politically, he's just damaging his companies, it wouldn't surprise me that during the next administration they start moving some contracts to other companies, it's too much power for 1 private citizen.

One of his shareholders made a reasoned plea to him, that he probably won't follow. It'll catch you with what Elon's been doing last couple of years:

been feelin bummed about all the tension in America recently a large chunk of our country hates
@elonmusk. a lot of this has been manufactured by the media, but some of his stubbornness is contributing to it

now every @Tesla employee, fan & shareholder has to constantly defend and talk about Elon Musk's actions. it is exhausting. I got into $TSLA to stop climate change and proliferate EVs. I still love the company and am extremely supportive of Elon

it is not easy for me to speak out, because i don't like bad vibes or want to spread negativity. but i see a strong rise in hatred, and incentives to either slander Elon or kill him, or harm his companies. that is bad.

Elon, as a homie, my advice is to chill on posting about Politics. Sure, it's your right as an American to satirical. But as one of the world's most powerful and influential people i think we need to hold a higher standard of discourse. If you think its so important to get involved, then do it, and explain it in a classy, and clear and positive and inclusive manner and you'll be well received. sharing humorous videos about Kamala is funny (i laughed at your post), but the backlash it will cause, isn't worth it. an example of why being chill/smart/calm/classy with communication will be more effective

i love jokes. i do open mics to try my controversial stand up material. there is a time and place of trolling and joking. so i feel ya. but it feels like now isn't it

just seems like if you keep poking the bear, they will poke back. it could get really ugly with Democrats weaponizing the legal system against your companies ... harming all of the hard work you've done. that is my worry.

there is no doubt material damage has been done to the Tesla brand. every time i step into my car it used to be about fun, positivity and sustainability. now (at least in every major US city) my car has become a political statement that is divisive. that sucks. it's like a cloud that follows my car everywhere i go. I'm worried this trend is and will continue to seriously hurt Tesla's sales and brand.

and look, ive been a Tesla shareholder since 2011. Model Y owner since 2020. Tesla is more than an investment for me. The community is my family. There is so much love there, and I think we need to let that shine.

if i try to put myself in your shoes Elon, I get where you're coming from. Biden snubbed you at every turn. Fuckery in our political system is at an all time high. You feel the need to speak up and try and do good. I have so much respect for that, and your bravery to risk it all for the right thing. Thank you.

but as a homie, and investor and someone who cares about you, the employees, fans, humans on earth, animals on earth, and all our nature i think it could be time to go back to drawing board with a new communication strategy in the Political Universe to foster more inclusivity and positivity and unity.sending good vibes and love - Gali

EchoChamber.com would be a great name for his search engine.

Or, ComingSoon.com, like all the other big promises that never pan out.

You can take this for what it's worth as well:

Favorability
Democrats - 16%
Republicans - 23%

'Very few' Democrats are willing to buy a Tesla after Elon Musk endorsed Donald Trump

The Tesla CEO has become increasingly more controversial and openly political in recent years

https://qz.com/tesla-reputation-elo...1600826?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter

He's also kind of racist. He would be one of those dude carrying the department store tiki torches in West Virginia. You can go to his account - https://twitter.com/netflix/with_replies

Look at his replies. When he replies, it's like a bump/promotion more people see it. I can literally show you over 100 examples where he'll bump black on white crime stories, but I bet you can't show me even 1 time where he bumped a white on black crime story. Or bump something positive. He's been hanging out online with a lot of White Nationalist types and repeating their stuff.
------
I think he'll take a big hit next year. I can't imagine our government going to be ok with RoboTaxis/FSD, cars driving on their own, he said he wants to end Uber aka American jobs. The robots he's working on, more jobs. The AI he's working on while saying everybody else's AI sucks, it's an energy suck. He's making way too many enemies.

He transform twitter to x.com so I would predict he likes simple things so his search engine could be called S ... s.com...

There was also a time when there were speculations about a channel called xTV to be launched, and here we are.

yes but you need to understand creating each engine to compete to google 5-6 years ago was mission imposible today with all the development in field of AI Musk can just buy ChatGPT for example and this is great start point to develop competative search engine "powered" by AI chat boot.

You see google and bing both go into this way so search engine is more and more chatbot...

Musk is one if not the smartest bussines guy of nowdays so I am sutre he already has plan hot to compete google...

USA elections are great start point as he can easy "steal" half google trafic by only showing google perfer one candidat over other...
