I agree 100% with dave here on this one. Especially the part about elib not meaning e-library. My first thought when I saw elib was that domain site elb.com and then I thought about elib as a word e-lib, to me it is more like e-liberation or e-liberal, maybe a branding idea for youdgridley said:4 million Google results means you have that many listings to compete against for #1 ranking.. Also, I would have preferred eLibrary.. I would never have conciously associated elib with electronic library so I'm assuming you'd need both branding and development for value.
That said, .mobi is too new to evaluate this sort of non-premium domain IMO.
