Educ.us

Description: - short for \"education\"
- could be developed as an education portal
- feasible for sub-domains like Science.educ.us and Business.educ.us
Categories: Acronyms :: 4 Letters  Society :: Education

Also, 2.2 million google results for "educ" can't be a bad thing. :)

Valuations, feedback, and other development ideas are most welcome.

Thanks!

However uncommon a Google search indicates the term in used in high profile places such as a publicly traded company.

However, there is no .us end user market and this uncommon terms do not strike speculator interest.

I humbly appraise:

Educational Development Corp (EDUC)

^^ Good potential End user "lead" ... also could be developed as you mentioned.
It's the first time I have seen it as an abbreviation for "Education" (say, versus "Edu"), but again ... this could be overcome by development, in my view.
Was hoping to find something similar at the ".ORG", would have given me higher hopes.
$150 - $200+/+ to the right End user, IMHO.
Best of Luck.

When I see educ., I immediately associate it w/ education. Can't think of an alternative root word for this abbrev. Very clear to me- education.

In US newscasts, when education is discussed, it almost always is referring to polls and studies pertaining to standards of US eduacation. Only occasionally will a report on education go outside the poli-socio-economic arena of US education and discuss the subject in a more generic way- usually as a scientific study or "breakthrough".

Good domain name. Subject is quickly recognizable, short, works w/ .us cctld. Although .com and .org would obviously be better, I personally prefer the .us to .info here. Highly brandable for company that interfaces/ does biz w/ US government/Dept of Education.

Thanks Jeff and Michael for the detailed insights. :)

Before the internet came out with .edu, I always thought that the abbreviation of "education" was "educ". In fact, it seems popular still if you try the following google searches:

"college of educ" - 726
"college of edu" - 666
