What do you think EconomyUS.com s worth? I was thinking about developing it with a discussion forum in the event the market collapses, but was curious to what it might be worth.

Thanks for any assistance.

I see no real $ value here. Maybe $10 or $15 at most, but very likely would go unclaimed in an auction if people had to pony up more than $2 or $3 quite frankly.

Thanks for the input. Estibot has it at $950.00, but it's the best name I could find to put a forum on it and to track the imminent collapse. Of course there are no domains available relating to the economy whatsoever. If we do have a collapse, will it be worth more?

I also have financialcollapse.net and economicfailure.com. Are those worth anything, or would one of those be better to use and develop?

I also own swineflu.org as I track the next pandemic. Estibot has that at 2k, but have no idea what it's worth. I listed it for sale for 5k I believe.

Thanks Nat, appreciate your input.

Hello!

Swineflu.org is the one with more US monthly searches on it's keywords: 22.2K. However, being a .org, I see it being developed as a non-profit informational site and those will not have a large commercial demand, in my opinion.

Here are my appraisals:

economyus.com - reg fee
financialcollapse.net - mid to high $xx
economicfailure.com - low to mid $xx
swineflu.org - mid to high $xx

Best of luck!

Interesting, thanks. So if i develop a website I should use financialcollapse.net? That was my original thought, but I'm not a big fan of .net.

Swineflu.org worth under $100? Now that appraisal I question, lol. Who here would not pay $100 for it right now?? Come on ....

How about SalemOregon.org? Anything?

If you're going to develop one of them, EconomyUS.com is the best branding choice in my opinion. It's more neutral and allows the site to evolve and grow without being limited to tough times. EconomyUS.com can thrive regardless of what state the economy is in. The value in this name would need to be unlocked by developing it.

financialcollapse.net and economicfailure.com

I wouldn't develop hardship domains; they will only receive traffic during times of crisis. It's a big commitment to invest your time and money into development. I'd save development for a site that could stand the test of time.

Good job Joseph, great input. My exact thought as well on picking EconomyUS.com as the one to develop.

Also good thought on avoiding hardship domains, and I agree. Unfortunately that's my hobby. I launched the forum at avianflutalk.com a decade ago to bring the pandemic threat on the map, and tracking the next pandemic is my hobby. You might say I alerted the world to the pandemic threat years ago. And when I saw the swine flu emerge as the next, I was able to acquire swineflu.net, .org, and some others at the simnple cost of the reg fees. Sold swineflu.net for 3k within 3 days, along with some others. I immediately put a forum on swineflu.org, before i knew it would be a mild pandemic, only with the intention of assisting people and not for financial gain. Of course back in the day I thought we were headed for a bird flu pandemic (global killer), as H5N1 was the front runner for the next pandemic, which is why i launched avianflutalk.com. Was an attempt to alert the world. Crazy time. The bird flu hype / scare of 2005 - 2006 was, well, me. Hardship domains, forums, and dominating the internet in a global disaster is what I do, but not for the money in it. Just a sick hobby, lol.

I appreciate the input again in EconomyUS.com for the possibility of the financial collapse as that's my next project. Let's hope the new forum and site is never "needed" I suppose. I only paid the reg fee for it.

I'm starting to develop http://www.EconomyUS.com.

Any thoughts?

It's barely starting... might be useful to follow the site down the road either way if the crap hits the fan with the economy.

And to think it's only worth the reg fee.
