I agree, the term economic slowdown, although frequently mentioned on the news (especially on the financial programs) isnt a term that is use much my individuals. Infact it is hardly searched for every month. Of course with things going the way they are, this could prove to be a nice domain.

damn_2007 seems to be on the money here in my opinion.

Still a very nice name and im a big fan of Economic and Political domains.

Well maybe put something using Wordpress on it and an RSS feed bring in relevent news. I have a few economics/political/financial type domains and they tend to have decent paying keywords.
