Yes. Ecko is a brand name in clothing as well as "metal fabrication" it seems.
Basically Ecko.net is kind of like saying nike.net or adidas.net etc.

I would stay away from that one

I just got off the phone with a lady that works at the USPTO. It hilariously derailed into a conversation about whether or not I could legally put porn on it (I can). She checked her entire database and it doesn't appear that I am breaking any laws by owning this domain or trying to sell it.

The clothing brand is associated with both "Marc Ecko" and "Ecko Unltd" but not simply "Ecko" so I'm safe there. "Ecko" IP infringement only applies to the ventilation and metal fabrication industries so as long as I don't enter those markets or show any ill intent then I'm fine.

With that said, it's got to be worth something. This domain was owned by a Korean company for about 15 years and no one else has touched it. I'm sure many people have been salivating over it for many years.

Yeah just be careful what you do with it. Not pro enough to give a value on that so hoping to see what other more experienced people have got to say here.

I would take what someone who works at the USPTO says with a grain of salt when it comes to legal advice.

With that said there have been 4 UDRP filed related to this brand for -

eckokids.com
redbymarcecko.com
ecko.org
eckountld.com

They are 4-0 in these disputes, including winning the exact match Ecko.org.

Putting porn on it is not a good idea in my view.

It's now almost November, and ecko.net is still up and generating revenue with no problems. Now its for sale on Namejet with no reserve.
