I purchased this domain because I had an idea to develop a site that offers more in depth feedback of buyers and sellers on ebay since ebays current feedback system could use improvement.

The name popped to my mind after learning that a share of craigslist was purchased by ebay.

I just learned that by purchasing the domain, I might be considered a "cybersquatter". Can I be sued for purchasing this domain?

"could" be sued, but it's more likely you'll receive a basic C&D order, as Ebay aggressively protects their trademark. Generally, you only have to worry if you're actively using the domain. Just owning it isn't usually a problem.

i do know eggbay.com was forced to change their name to eggbid

Gene, what do you think about this? Harrah's owns and uses WorldSeriesOfPoker dot com ... do you think they will have a problem with my owning PokerWorldSeries dot tv?

I guess it's a silly question and if they complain they have me. Correct?

Whether or not they would be in the "right" to claim trademark infringement, It boils down to whether or not you're willing to defend yourself in court if it comes to that. Would you be willing to pay a $200 per hour lawyer to defend keeping a $8 registration?
