Is ebay a good place to buy and sell names, what to try out a high asking price with the 15 cents insertion day but worried,
if so is escrow a must or paypal straight is ok?
Thanks in advance

During the last couple of weeks eBay has Not been a good place for me to sell domains, all of intermediate value.

You only need scrow if it is a high value domain, paypal is ok specially when you are the domain seller.

A good starting price would be the minimum you would expect to cover your expenses, so you do not loose.

For 15cents today it is worth listing again.

I've never had good luck selling on Ebay. Although, for $.15, it's worth a shot. You can start the bid at whatever price, so you don't need to worry about having it sell for a dollar or two.

I've sold a few names on eBay and 2 out of the 3 times I did very well :)

I've done a lot of buying and only a little bit of selling on EBay and have found it a better place to buy than to sell. PayPal/EBay fees do add up and auction prices can be surprisingly low.

As far as whether escrow is required or not - I've never used escrow - I just look at seller feedback. I have been burned by sellers refusing to complete auctions. In a few instances sellers have simply refunded my money and said the auction price was too low. And in a few cases sellers have simply kept my money. Total loss - something like $2 or $3. All against EBay Terms and Conditions but little that you can do except complain to Ebay. My worst experiences have been with very low priced domains where the seller feels the selling price was so low that they fail to complete the auction.

You should be aware that when using PayPal to buy there is no refund protection if the seller fails to deliver because domain names are an intangible item. An alternative is to use a US credit card to fund the payment because then you can use a charge-bakc if the seller fails to deliver.

Right. I personally think that eBay is a good place to do things like this (I have a few listings on there, one is in my sig ;)), especially since the price to list it is low compared to Sedo or AfterNic.
