Earning Question

Didn't know whether to post this here but i need to know something which is nagging me! How are sites like offers.net and ukhotdeals.com making money? A friend designed offers.net and the person who wanted it designed payed thousands of pounds to make a site which i cant see how it makes a profit.

Any answers appreciated to my Q

offers.net is obviously earning commissions on all the products they list. ukhotdeals.com won't load for me.

but the entire point of the site is to get people to add there deals and as far as i know the owner does not add deals himself. there is also no advertisements on the site.

Are you sure the listings on the main page aren't all the owners posts? There is also the Amazon Deals part of the site, and the Forum where others can post...

Add affiliate links to all the products of course. And why not use Adsense?
