Reviews and information for Dynadot

ICANN accreditted registrar that not may people know about. The domain management interface is easy to navigate and actually makes sense.

One of the best new features is domain deletion within the first 5 days of registration for full credit to be used at a later date.

If you spend more than $500.00 per year, you qualify for our bulk prices.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I have lots of domains with them. But I want tu update some things to this thread.
Very interesting, indeed good for IDN's etc..I'm happy with them.

BUT =>

* NO "FREE" GRACE DELETING ANY MORE (1, or 2 or 3 USD has to be payed).

* IF YOU PUT MONEY OR THEY OWE YOU MONEY THEY DON'T PAY YOU BACK ON CARD OR PAYPAL ONLY ON YOUR BALANCE TO SPEND WITH THEM (but there are registrars who do the same)

*BE VERY CAREFULL WITH THEIR MARKET (DOMAINS YOU PUT FOR SALE) => In another thread here at Namepros it is mentioned that if you put a specific price FOR a particular domain. (Even if it's 5.000 USD). => you don't get the money payed to you by Paypal or on your card or wire transfer => You get the money as BALANCE to spend at Dynadot.
However if you put it for sale without specific pricing, so "propose a price". it's different
=> In that case a buyer can propose a price, and you get that as message in your inbox at Dynadot. You can communicate untill an agreement is reached. And then you decide together how payment will be done and transfer or push is done with the buyer. So in this case the seller gets the full money.
WHAT'S SAD ABOUT THIS is that usually (according to Sedo) placing a specific price is BETTER TO SELL.
I don't understand why Dynadot keeps this like this.
I could agree with domains you post for sale for 50 USD. But amounts of 100 or 2.000 or more should at least be payed to your Paypalaccount or by wiretransfer. (maybe with a 5 or 10% commission or so fopr Dynadot).

Simply the best registrar on the planet!

In my view, Dynadot is simply the best registrar on Earth. Where else can you grace delete many TLDs for FREE? Great interface, great API, awesome everything. Dynadot flat out rocks!

I love Dynadot! They clearly outline every detail about their system, so if someone is unhappy about their services, it's really your own fault.

They're the best registrar by far. I don't know where I'd be in this business without them!

dynadot is great except when they do 'maintenance' (which is almost daily) the entire site goes down. not sure why they have it set up that way.

It is always daily. I haven't been bothered to verify what times of day they do this. Or if it's random. Quite often this is only for a minute or two. So if you go away and do another task for a couple of minutes and come back, it's often back online. But I agree, it's annoying when you encounter it.

@Domainstore - What I mean is that after about 100+ whois lookups in a day, GoDaddy block your access to their whois servers until the next day. Now there are times when this is ridiculously small, if you have thousands of domains in your account. There are going to be times when 100+ lockups is going to be way too small. Dynadot allows you to have 5k whois lookups a day. At least at my service level. Problem solved. As I said in that old post, that was the main reason, but there were others, why I left GoDaddy. I'm actually happy I left. But it does make things a tad more difficult with sales. Everyone has an account with GoDaddy and wants their domains they purchase there. I can understand their reasoning :(

i LOVE LOVE LOVE dynadot because it is so simple and uncluttered. domains are cheap (.com = $7.99), and like the review above said it is run by real people, not computers. their customer service has always been quick and helpful as well. :kickass:

I have 40 domains with them and have been steadily moving all my domains to their service. They always give great support to their customers and their features are getting better everyday. They also have an easy to use interface that is much simpler than those at resellers such as NameCheap.

I started this but never actually reviewed them, and to update this, they now sell .us for 7.99 aswell, and .cn. I have 100+ with them now probably going to move 100 or so more there soon

They are a great company. Easy to use and easy to work with.

Reliable registrar and competitive pricing.
One drawback I see is that I have to log back in often.
I would use them more if they had more TLDs available.

Awesome domains, cheap, fast, the site is a bit gayish but still it's good. I have all my domains except one with them, Best i've seen.

I highly recommend dynadot for IDN registrations

dynadot is my primary registrar just ahead of dd24.net, it's fast, low-priced and the interface is excellent.

Dynadot a secret gem

Im a freakshow when it comes to how registrars list WHOIS information. I checked the top whois listings (whois.ws, whois.sc, iwhois.com) the majority are sloppy or inconsistent. The top consistent, cleanliest registrars from all my studies were: SRSplus ($250 buyin reseller), Fabulous (bulk prices), Namesecure (not as clean/lied about ICANN charges), and Dynadot! Their prices were exactly what I needed and wanted and the whois listings were just right on, very clean, very nice on all searches- same listing no weird changes! I don't have to search any longer. I really like this company in several ways that are just my personal needs as a freak and as a smart shopper and wanted to post up for all my troubles, they are gods in my book! even though they rank right now 117th of the world's largest ICANN accredited registrars, this smaller company was the only one that gave me satisfaction - i can finally sleep.
