Drupal Ecommerce

Does anybody have any experience with this module? I'm looking at it for a project I'm doing.

I've basically decided that I'm going to set up the site using Drupal, since I'm already doing one with it, and I might as well make use of it again. My client wants a shopping cart solution (maybe), or wants the option to add one later if she doesn't get it now.

My questions:

How easy is this to customize?
How secure is it?
My client is based in Canada - does it work here, or is it very US-centric?
How easy is it for non-technical people to manage products?

Can you recommend another shopping cart that integrates well with Drupal?

If not, what about open source packages? What have you used/do you recommend?
