Every week something goes wrong with it! This time every time I click something it crashes! Re-installing it dosnt help, I am trying to work on a website but I cant now!

Can anyone suggest why these problems happen, how to fix them or a good free HTML/PHP editor?

I am the first, so I get to say this. Notepan is your ally. use it wisely. It will never crash on you. Notepad is beautiful.

I was actually hoping for something more advanced then notepad.

preferably something that colour codes things.

I would use that but Microsoft hates my PC and Office dosnt work.
And frontpage dosnt support PHP

There's other nice editors. Such as EditPlus, Crimson (I think).. or you can get PHP Designer. Has syntax highlighting for PHP, HTML, CSS, SQL, etc. The url:

It's what I've been using for a while. I even gave up NotePad for it :o

even better would be a WSYWSG editor, i'm trying to find one ATM.

thats strange, that IS strange... only the english version dosnt work on my PC, i'm now using the french version of dreamweaver.

Dreamweaver weaver has never crashed on me. If you got the illegal of it (hack it to get it free), it will probably start crashing on you.

my dreamweaver never fails me either....dunno why it happens to you....notepad's the one i turn to when dreamweaver's not avaialble
