Here i am with a brand new blog with a custom designed theme and mascot
Blogging BuzZ

There have been few postings already but its still under beta. The coder is testing the theme for any possible errors and i would be seeking your opinions about the domain, design, theme, etc.

Thanks in advance

you want an honest review, you'll get it (even though all of my reviews are constructively honest imo XD).

so the first thing that i notice when i go to the site is the 5x the same picture of the same guy. it's slightly distracting, so maybe get a different "advertise" placeholder image (since thats probably where it becomes overkill). after that, i then notice the blue boxes at the top; however, the important stuff that SHOULD stand out (like recent posts and subscription, are nowhere near flashy enough to grab my attention. my eyes instantly go to the "hit me here" and "earn money online", which are two boxes that (in my opinion) just seem to be like advertising and affiliate links. this personally turns me off towards a site when i see so many advertisements at the top of a page clustered together because it makes me feel like the sole purpose the site exists is for profit. you don't have many animated images on your site, and the 2-3 that i see are advertisements. it's human nature to look at the flashy, moving things, but in this case your user's eyes are being dragged away from the content, which is the reason they are here. perhaps make the images (at least in the boxes up top) into either smaller images, or even just simply text links. i know that the social networking images have small versions (see AddThis!) and those might actually work better in your case. the earn money online are outright affiliate links (as far as i can tell) and i dont believe should get such a prominent feature on the top of your page. you could move that down to the sidebar on the right and maybe put a login box there or something. basically, less flashy.

moving down the page, the flash keyword spinny thing is just AWESOME, although at first i had no clue wtf it was (i just thought it was some random image with random words in it). see if you can edit it so that the words maybe like rotate and then when the person puts their mouse on it it works like it does always?

you could probabyl also push some of those images that you have uptop into the advertisement box you have specially labeled and blank in the righthand column.

good luck with blog.

I like the overall color and feel and I like the scoopy design element in the boxes under the header.

What I don't like:

Titles are too large, especially given the small text area

Sidebar is too big. Blogs are about content, there should be more text and now it's all squished in the corner.
