Dotster - BIG problem with bulk registrations

Has anyone had problems registering multiple .info domains over the last month at dotster?

Reason: they have started cancelling AND releasing all the domains I registered under the .99c offer running up to jan 31 - without any advance warning. I have just noticed the paypal refunds and checked to see half of them back as available!!!

All payments were through my verified PP account, in cash - no cards involved.

I have rapidly reregistered any I have found available through someone else and am still awaiting a reply from their 'ticketing support system' to explain what is going on.

I would like to think I had a legal case here for any extra costs and losses but then spotted this in their terms

Dotster, Inc., in accordance with ICANN policies, reserves the rights to refuse to register multiple domain registrations.

thanks - any advice welcome, including legal, or anyone from dotster

I regged a little over 1k .infos during the promotion at Dotster and haven't had any problems. They were regged on January 26th and are hence past the 5 day grace period.

It'd be interesting to hear a few more stories here...

I registered with mydomain.com (owned by the same people as dotster?) and all mine are fine, registered one last night and it's fine.

Maybe you used the coupon after expiry, but their system hadn't updated?

coupon was not out of date as i started around the 27th -> 31st

total registered 800 in 10 or 12 batches

domains are being released as we speak ... and I am frantically trying to reregister elsewhere

all I am getting is emails from paypal saying dotster have refunded me

as yet dotster have not contacted me in anyway.

Please let us know what they said, this happened to me at Answerable.com when I ordered only 3 .in's after signing up and registering the domains and paid for they reversed the sales because of a glitch with their system and my credit card. that was most annoying

Call them. The number is 360-449-5900.

Their replies to email are very slow and often off-topic. Email is of little use with Dotster. The phone guy I talked to a year ago was sharp. They are in the Pacific timezone, do not know when their phone hours are.

That is an awful situation and I wish you luck in fixing it.

They are saying they have a right to reverse any registrations. I will seek legal advice over on the legal board.

thanks

Sure - they have the right to reverse any registrations, but why are they reversing yours?
