I've just decided to focus more on domaining after not selling a domain in a while. I've only ever sold one name on the strength of the name alone (ie with no real business attached) and was able to get over 5K sterling for it a few years back - but there was luck and a 1999 reg involved and I don't really have a clue what I'm doing.

iSo, my questions is..if the dotcom is gone, is dotnet still the next best? I'd be really grateful for any advice.
Thanks!
Helen

Hi Helen,

It really depends on the type of domain. There are some cases where it'd make more sense to grab the .org (or another extension - .org was just an example). .Net isn't ALWAYS the next best choice.

I hope that makes some sense!

Thankyou GF

It's an auction name, along the lines of (but unfortunately not the actual name)
dvdauction.
