:hi: everyone,

Can you please appraise DotinDomains.com . I registered it with 2 ideas in my mind. One was to either use it for a reseller account specifically for Dot.in(indian)Domains or reseller account as a brandable registration website DotinDomains (I guess I liked the sound of Dotin at the time for a brandable registration site).

I have also registered some other domains and actually a better domain in .in extention which I will use for a reseller account so I have decided to sell this domain. Someone has made me an offer. Can you let me know what should I sell this for and whats the max value of this domain?

Also can you appraise DotIndiaDomains.com
Thanks,

Cam

PS : DotinDomain.com was registered in 2006 and has no website resolving.

The likelihood that whoever made you the offer sees this thread is 100%.

I mean, dude... You're on a domainers board, asking about a domain name that addresses domaining. Who do you think made you that offer?
And what do you think the chances are that this very thread winds up result #1 in gSERPs for "dotindomains.com" within 24 hours?

Anyway, it's a decent name that addresses a very interesting topic... I wouldn't sell it.

Thanks Dongsman for your comment. Actually I didn't get an offer from here. I just have the domain parked with the make offer tab. Some one sent me an offer from there a couple of days ago, so that is why I started this thread to see what you guys would appraise this domain which will help me decide if I should sell it or not.

And according to the email it seems like some one sent me an offer from India. So that is why I included the DotIndiaDomains.com . SO what would you appraise this one? I might sell this to person who sent me an offer because Now that I am thinking I do like the first domain so I might keep it.

Anyone else? All appraisals are welcome. Thanks.

The domain community is smaller than you think. Much, much smaller than you think and on this name (a domain about domains), you can be rest assured that the interested party at least has an account here, or will google the name a few more times and eventually find his way to this thread. So, strategically, maybe not the best idea, but what's done is done.

Anyway, I wouldn't break up the pair of names. Anyone interested in one would surely take the other (as long as you're pricing it realistically). Neither keyset represents any exact search volume to speak of, but it's a well understood phrase in it's niche and "DotIndiaDomains" has the advantage of robust, relevant keyword anchors for SEO phrase targeting...

As far as plucking some imaginary value out of the air, it cannot be done. At this point, it boils down to the 'game', where he's trying to get it for the least possible price, you're trying to extract the most money without scaring him off. Some people are better at this game than others.

I'd sell both as a package, the offer is obviously interesting enough to make you consider the sale, ask for a little more and sell them.

Trying to sell .in domains from a .com kind of defeats the purpose don't you think?

Serps are not the be all, brand posture is important too in this case, at least imho.

Thanks Samit. I did register both domains the same day. So I might even sell them as a package. The only thing is the offer is too low for the first domain. I guess I forgot to mention it in the original post. That is why I started the thread to see what most of you here at NP think the domain/s are worth.
