What is any domain worth? Whatever the market will pay... is always the safe answer. But domains have other value; I buy some domains just for the pleasure of owning the name, 'the vision'. Some folks collect baseball cards, or art for the same reasons... for pleasure AND market value considerations.
The big question is... What will the market/s do? The domain market of today will not necesscarily be the domain market of tomorrow. The U.S. numbers alone will dramatically change the domain market... with 70 million online now, growing to about 200 million in five years.
dotTV domains should do well in this new, online, mass media-tv market. And their success may come in ways yet to be discovered. Imagine, for example, future online "TV networks" built on video-embed-buys... for mass market webcasting of tv programs, movies, events, sports etc..
In this (very) possible (bandwidth distributed, iptv) market... each site "screen" represents value to the network/s & advertisers. And, in this scenario having a lot of domain names gives one a 'bigger net'... so today's "quality over quantity", "Dev" and/or "Park" (domain valuation) thinking would not apply.
I'm not saying this Will happen. And even if it does the value of the name and site would still matter. I am saying... we do know the market is going to change. While its possible the .TV market could get worse. I for one think the .TV adoption market trend will continue to rise for the forseeable future.
