Not sure how, but PokerRoom.Online and PokerRooms.Online slipped through preregistrations and they're not even premium (amazingly), so I nabbed 'em!

Given that poker rooms are originally an "offline" concept and because most poker sites are essentially "rooms" and they call themselves that, I think I made out with a couple of nice ones.

What .Online domains did you get?

If you are not clear on this, you probably havent been domaining long enough. .tv been doing this like forever.

I know its not ideal but the registry got in the game to make money too...

Maybe your post should be more clear.
Thieves steal things to make money too! What's your point?
We should just take this shit? Be glad we got what we got? Maybe I just shouldn't bitch so much and be glad I'm getting screwed.

Your attitude is what helps this problem continue.

They didnt reclassify or anything like that, they just played the same game, picking what they thought were good names and made them premiums.

You are saying they made them premiums after they launched, right? LLL weren't premium when they launched, then they changed them to premium.

They weren't premium and now they are. That sounds to me like they reclassified them from NOT premium TO premium.
Great.

If you can't make your point or deal with it when someone has a issue then "Tap out".
Which you did, so thanks.
Next in line please!

1) So did they reclassify the LLL.online market to premium or just the ones that were unregistered and still held by the registry?

2) Did you get any notice of a price hike or did you only find out when you tried to reg more LLL's?

3) What are they saying your renewal fees are going to be when they come up for renewal? Do you now have to pay $3200 per domain you already have or can you renewal at a lower rate?

That's what I was saying before. I got a bunch at reg fee, then the next day, similar names where premium priced out of the blue. I was buying LLL and NNN for reg fee, then the next day, went to reg more and they were much more expensive!

still kinda unclear on this. So there are LLL.online that renew for $20 or so, then there are LLL.online that renew for $3200. WTF is going on here?

That sounds like some jacked up crap to me. If you drop a LLL that was reg'd at regular price and then it goes back to the registry, will they "reprice" it to $3200?

How in the hell is the general public, companies, domainers, or end users going to figure this sh*t out????
That's the problem I have with it too! So get this....if you only registered your domains for one year, when you go to renew them, the price could be the premium price. You are only guaranteed the price you pay for the term you pay for. Once the term is over, they can change the rate to whatever they want!

Do you know if your renewal fees went up to the new price?

We need more clarity on the renewal price scheme going on here.

Nsmith91 could be in for a world of hurt if he reg'd for a year and he has to pay the new or changed renewal pricing. He could be paying $64,000 per year for just 20 domain names.(That would really be something to bitch about!)

Did any price change notices go out?

I haven't had to renew any yet. But for example, I have names like these:
948.online
2152.online
2981.online
6532.online
DRJ.online
GRP.online
GXQ.online
KJN.online
LMU.online
LOX.online
OOH.online
OSH.online
PXK.online
QTQ.online
TMX.online
TSE.online
UCI.online
UNA.online
XAI.online

They were regged for base fee. Now, today, they would be premium priced. So what will happen when my registration comes up for renewal? And I have many more, this is only a sample.

That's the $64,000 question my friend!
Maybe you should put one in your cart and see what comes up. I hope to god it's not $3200 for one!

I hope not.

So.......
I just put a .online into my cart to renew it, just to see what will happen.

I bought it yesterday.
It had a renewal listed at $24.99 per year.
My cart has it as $29.99 for the renewal.
That is up $5 in one day! WITH NO NOTICE OF A PRICE CHANGE.

Looks like I'm going to do some dropping.
This kind of stuff is going to kill .online and other gtlds.

Sorry for bringing up the facts, because they hurt like hell.

Everyone on here needs to go right now and put a .online into their cart like you are going to renew it today. You don't have to renew it now, you can remove it with one click, but go check right friggin now!

Please post your findings. We need to know this stuff right now, not when it comes time to renew.

Don't post anything else until you've checked your domains. I expect to see some feed back soon.

Please help us all by doing this!

GD was selling .online for .99 first year, 49.99 after that.

In between the time I made my last post, it looks like they may have gone up $20 more!

I'm not sure if I want to log back in and check.

I don't have any LLL or NNN or premiums(at least when I bought them), but at this rate all mine will be $3200 (or more) by the end of the month.

We/I can't afford to play this game.

I still think the .online domain extension is set to boom soon, I think it's being kept on the back burner whilst the domain elite are busy snapping up all the good .online domains before they start to sky rocket the prices.
