domain dot com domain appraisal please

Hi:

I have been kicking around selling toon.com. It's on sedo right now, and has some pretty hefty offers on it- mid 5 digits. For some reason, I am stuck on at least 6 to sell it. Not in a major hurry or anything to sell it- it makes me $$$ and costs me nothing.

Am I being unrealistic, or is it worth 6 digits? Since I really do not care (my only real motivation to sell is $$), am I cool to hold out?

I'd sell for high $xx,xxx, but I don't think its quite worth six digits, unless maybe to an end user such as Cartoon Network, or even better, Toon Disney.

I guess I just feel I cannot develope that site to where it really could/should be. So I threw something bland up (so I would not destroy any potential value) and just let it go. Costs me nothing (I have a bunch of servers and sites, one more is nothing)

ANyway, it is PR 5, and gets about 2000 type ins a day- no advertising or anything. Lots aof quality back links and stuff....

It just hit me that my other real option is to develope this site. I know this is a bit off topic in this forum, but with this thread already started, I figured I would just add this here...

So, I guess I would ask if you think it would be better to try and figure out a way for me to develope this site. If so, any ideas?

you could develop it, but whoever buys it for 6 figures is probably going to remove whatever you have on there so developing it will probably not add value to whoever wants to buy it.
if you want to hold it, then if you develop it, it could make more income.

I think you can get 6 figs for it in time. I would not sell it for less. You need to spend a little to create some kind of pay per click campaign on your own without Sedo parking. I am sure you get a lot of uniques for toon. From what I have read in the past, the person who purchased candy.com for around 150K made his money back in a year and a half all from clicks. Not sure myself on how to do it, never been in that situation, but I am sure there are some NP members who can guide you. Good luck with your domain and keep us posted on the outcome.

It is not PARKED at Sedo, it is just listed for sale there. There is a fairly simple site I have up there- been about the same for 5 years- and that makes XXX a month... I have a few servers, and that is just on one- so no cost to me for anything, and I get some lunch money out of it...

I just think toon.com should be a real destination or something- it could really be something great. I just don't know what, though! (And surely not that thrown together site I have there now)
