Or $40 for 6 months for all early sign-ons like you special people. :xf.grin:

We get 10 members and we can move ahead at the beginning of the forthcoming month.
How early would you release the TBRs?

This is a really fair deal imho ....especially on weeks when I am too busy to pour through 8000 drops

Hey, I'm not trying to get rich here, just adapting to the Thread Mob which stated they would like the TBR to be more inclusive rather than displayed for everyone and their dog, and the concept of a semi-annual subscription came up to offset the potential loss in advertising/affiliate revenue.

So basically, I'm just following the prevailing winds.

Also, in another piece of related news, I finally set up the site migration to my new Enterprise Hosting Package (all paid for by you fools clicking), which will hopefully enhance site speed and stop me from watching the old shared HDs constantly red-lining.

Saturday's the day, so cross your fingers.

It's definitely a big step down from 3-4 weeks ago, but at least there are a few nice LLLs (though these were dropped by Excellent) and a couple of short words with some aging. But definitely a weak and very top-heavy list, with all the fireworks taking place early.

I was thinking about the great names that dropped the last few weeks. Now, I donโ€™t know much about the early days of the .CA but I assume the 1 or 2 people that owned all those great names were pretty knowledgeable about the .CA space and domains.

So my question is, why did these ever make it to the drop? Why didnโ€™t these people try to at least get something for them along the way? (I know the rumour is one of these people died, so Iโ€™m obviously talking about the time he was still alive)

Where these people holding out for a big score or is the .CA market really that small/insignificant that no big player or end-user ever bothered to to scoop up these names?

They were for sale, and as you surmised, at massive price tags - from what I can divine, these guys made money by selling a few a year and maintaining their massive portfolios.

For example, one guy had anything remotely premium at a minimum offer of $25K and the lower-end stuff starting at $5K-$15K. I guess that strategy worked til it didn't.

Great line. It's too bad, you've think even if a lowballer's paradise like NP they could have recouped some money instead of dropping them.

DO you know if they were ever submitted to the major auction companies? Could have been another way to cash in a bit before letting everything drop

Iโ€™m sure those great names werenโ€™t dropped deliberately or because they didnโ€™t care anymore. They either died, or something happened that they failed to renew on time. For example, their CC expired and ignored their emails for too long (for whatever reason). No one in their right mind would let those drop on purpose.

To Be Released (TBR) Weekly .CA Picks for March 4, 2020

The .CA numbers have definitely fallen back, this time by almost 1500 expired domains, but at least we donโ€™t have any 3-character junk-drops to artificially inflate the numbers. This is an average TBR list in every sense of the word, with a few nice 3-character options combined with a few short 1-word domains, but none of the sheer quality we witnessed a few weeks back. Our Top Picks list exemplifies this statement, and includes...

So Good Bernie Sanders Wants to Subsidize It!

To Be Released (TBR) .CA Results & Leftovers for March 4, 2020

The TBR list dropped down to just over 7.5K for the week, but there was enough quality to make sure the results didnโ€™t drop off the table. The Top 10 Picks included some notable domains that included...

It's Leftover City!
