I can see a number of these getting picked up - there a few others I'm surprised they accepted the high reserve and can't see selling because of it. What do you think?

Since there are some serious investors and legit complents listed in this thread, I hope this thread is watched/lurked.

No problem - just thought it would be interesting to see what you managed to get that was good enough to deserve a CIRA congratulations for!

They owe me a small fortune

Canspace is right on the ball, even with the credits.

This is why I never touched any of this stuff, as most Registrars play the "credit" game, and I really have no use for hundreds of dollars in locked-in credits when I could still have hundreds of dollars in my pocket.

The only time I ever try a "you know you're not going to get it" deal is with a large retailer who usually offers gift cards or coupons because they don't want to piss everyone off - the CIRA doesn't give a rat's ass about what anyone thinks because they have a monopoly.

I have a few not recalled yet.... if even one or two slips through the cracks then all the credits and debits are worth it because I would have paid big for anyone of them.

I think you are getting a pending-create status, which means they have to be activated at registry level. It seems like the noose is tightening for the forgotten few, hopefully some avoid a public hanging. I haven't received any refunds yet, domains are still in my account, but not even active.

hey .ca fans

what u think about

rockingchair
.ca

would you renew it? nice specific product name... surely popular in canada.. and elsewhere... the plural in .ca is taken too.. not developed though.

would you renew? just thought I'd get some opinions.

PS

because I asked some renew views before.. as did some other.s. I decided to just open a brnad new thread for all cctld names to renew or not to renew.. similar to the fairly popular same thread about ngtlds.. feel free to post your names or check it out:

They don't have a list. When you try and register a domain, your registrar checks if it's available and registerable - they get a flag returned warning them that there are restrictions. So I believe its your registrar that hasn't figured out how to detect these and reject them. Some have - others haven't.

Personally, I would renew AND redirect to a affiliate URL (Amazon rocking chair page for example), do some marketing (Facebook etc) and if don't make at least renewal fees with 9 months (my rule of thumb, can be longer or shorter) I would.drop it, of course I would still try to sell it)

Nice thread you started.

TCP is at $750 now! Just over 2 hours to go! It will go for 4 figures. Just a matter of how much! Any guesses? I will say $1500.
