I can see a number of these getting picked up - there a few others I'm surprised they accepted the high reserve and can't see selling because of it. What do you think?

Anyone else think that the .Ca extension shoul
there is a lot of crypto interest and activity in canada

with new atms it seems almost daily

but.. then there comes an exchange where owner dies and it doesn't help

i had a few names.. still do.. and no interest either.

but... maybe we're all wrong and its all about the future.. not about the here and now.

i guess most people will drop them... then probably this guy gonna pick it all up hehehhe
came across his site via some random lander recently.. lol

https://blockchainnames.com/tokens/

a lot of good names there.. in com too.. but the amounts of .ca in various categories are pretty mindblowing
My crypto-related domain inquiries fell off of the cliff last summer (2018). But i sold a bunch of .Com crypto domains in 2017 and first half of 2018.
I still have some good crypto .Com domains leftover (nameselling.com/crypto-names) in case there is another crypto wave.

I notice that in the newest CENTR quarterly report (which overall showed the slowest YOY growth of domain registrations since they started the series) that .ca leads in percentage growth among the 15 largest country code TLDs. Report at:

been quite a bit of an increase in offers for my .ca domains this year. A lot more than in the past. Still no leads for my CBD or canna names though. Anyone getting any .ca sales?

Anyone getting any .ca sales?
My .ca sales are reported below :xf.eek: ! (although I have now let the dozen or so I had all drop- just have 2 not for sale ones left)

2019 has not been good at all, and other than a few lowball offers (all ran after counters) I've had just one small sale. And this is after a fairly good second half to 2018.

Part of it is my fault, as I just haven't had the time to list all my new acquisitions, which hopefully will take place once I stop having to shovel my big-ass driveway + walk every 2 days (grumble, grumble).

Mine mainly are Cannabis/CBD (like I mentioned in the cannabis thread)..since no serious offers and not making money parking them, setted them up for a few affiliates sites.. been making money from them that way.

Okay, it looks like a .CA domain investor dropped his shorts on the TBR this week, as not only are there are several premiums, a lot of them date back to the CIRA's creation in 2000, and probably go back further.

Not a great week, but the selection is insane and there are definitely enough high-end domains for a Top Picks list.

Lots of interesting stuff if you have a trademark lawyer on speed dial.

You mean like SnapChat.ca. Aeron.ca, and Photoshop.ca?

Either know a really good lawyer or have no fixed address and no bank account linking it to you.

Nah, the worst you'l get is a angry little peon sending you a form email, but if it's a firm TM like Photoshop, Aeron, or SnapChat (where the name is an exact match and it is not a single-word or phrase) then you have no real opportunity to resell it to someone else. At that point you're just wasting money with no real upside.

Stuff like GMAC (could be used for any acronym - look at www.gmac.com - owned by the Graduate Management Admission Council and GMAC.tld is used for other companies in other countries), Jedi or some others are not the same thing, and are similar to the RedLine.ca conversations we've had on here - i.e. multiple uses unless you openly trample on an existing TM.

Our .CA To Be Released (TBR) Weekly Picks for March 20 are now live!

The overall numbers are up significantly this week and both the quantity and quality of the TBR domain names has also jumped quite noticeably. Due to this, we have an unprecedented 9 domains in our Top Picks this week, including...

Hey, I toss a few slangs in here and there.

"Hey, let's go campings and we's can drinks our sixers of beers".

Seriously though, I was thinking more of business use like Camping's. :xf.grin:

138 domains selected - anyone want to guess at the Top 5 names?

And our mysterious little friends at 2537244 ONTARIO INC. selected:

jcpa.ca
storytellingforstartups.ca
torontotogether.ca
esclm.ca

Top 10:

bca.ca
bcp.ca
odor.ca
acg.ca
raptor.ca
quiet.ca
loot.ca
ehp.ca
jedi.ca
jcpa.ca

Holy run on short-names Batman!

Kinda surprised on ODOR.CA, and I was going to put it on but it's not the CA spelling. I thought about QUIET.CA and had JEDI.CA on and off the Top List a few times, but 9 names was quite enough.

Nope none of the top ones.

Too bad, as those are mighty juicy.

But likely they're all going to auction, as every top MyID and Sibername selection does.
