Don't have gmail emails...

Over the past 2 days, I've received several random people asking for gmail invites to my 2 main gmail accounts...
Is anyone else receiving these? Also, does anyone have any idea how they got my email in the first place?

God knows who they are. There are so many free gmail invites around, I wonder why anyone would resort to spamming?
