Hello guys,

I'd like to ask something. I have read many posts on "Google Gmail Marketplace" where some people want to buy gmail invites. What it really surprise me is that they offer to pay someone first (into his paypal account) and afterwards they are expecting the gmail invites.

Sorry if it sounds silly but I have not understand how the whole process works. If there is someone between us who is looking to make a fraud by saying to a buyer "I've got 100 gmail invites, send me the money and I'll send you later the invites" and after that he dissapears or even worse he pretends that he has sent the invites, what is hapenning? On the other hand, if the buyer gets the invites but he denies that he received them?

Nobody can prove to paypal or to anybody else that the buyer didn' t get his invites or that the seller didn't send them. Am I missing something here?

Please could you help me understand how things work? I have never used paypal in the past (either to accept or receive money) so please forgive me for my ignorance.

Thank you!

Hi to both of you.

Really??? D-:

There's no "warranty" at all?

That means I am at risk of having my paypal account "freezed" so easy?...

Trust is a key point. I have sent and received $500-$1500 via paypal several times without a problem (knock on wood) when selling/buying domain names. I actually was more tense buying and selling PC hardware over at anandtech than I am with domain names.

acts, thats probably because you have to wait so long because of the shipping, domain names can be transfered instantly

I was very wary at first, but now I am a little more relaxed as I am dealing with more money, the vast majority are trustworthy.

Trust is something you need though... sometimes hard when all you know about the person is their email address!

Yep, no warranty, just like life. lol

I have also found that the more worried someone is about things, the more likely the deal will be one that has problems.

hehe, yea trader rating is a goo d point, generally if they have good rating most likely they wont scam.

if they have a few bad ones, look through and see who set that up, see if the person who made that rating has good/bad rating, it'll help you generalize who you can truyst and not
