I hope for DomainTools sake, this auction turns out ok. The last few have been terrible.

I didn't submit any because the last few, like Justin said, have been a farce. Definitely going to be watching this one to see how it turns out, there are some decent buys on the list this time around.

^ Looks like they've added some domains (325 in total), and tweaked the ordering ... since I last viewed the list, IMHO. :gl:
I believe I have only one in the auction! :talk:

Good Luck to those participating (both buyers and sellers)!

I had one name in a roundtable auction last August and it sold - Don't know much about the last few not going so well?

This list of 325 has some eye catching domains as well as some with clearly too high of a reserve.

I sold one each at the last two DT's Shows ... and I feel slightly more optimistic at the prospects of this one, as well! :lala: :talk:

Best of Luck.

The overall quality of the domains in this one is much better than the last couple and comparable IMHO to the last Roundtable one. Many have way too high reserves to bring interest but there are also some fairly good bargains.

I've got one in it and am keen on a couple for buying.

Good Luck Devil Dog!

I personally like parlaying.com - great domain name for a domainer.

Did they get in?

PS. Looks like four domains already have (albeit, low) bids, as colored in blue! :talk:

.

Yeah, much nicer names this time.

Holiday.com is a very nice one, looks a bit strange though because in a 2008 interview J. Westerdal says Holiday.com is his favourite in his portfolio but the whois.sc says its owned by someone in Tokyo, Japan and it looks like it has been in use for ages :-/

Did Jay ever own this or sell it in the last couple of months and the new owner has it up for sale at $6,499,999 ??

Any ideas ?

Has anyone else had their domains "on list" only to have them disappear in the last day? I had four domains accepted and showing on the bidding list. I had also received the email from DomainTools confirming these four domains and giving me a link to the bidding page so I could promote the auction. I had sent this link out to my email list, only to check last night and find three of the domains were now off the list at the last minute.
I know that DT has probably been swamped with last minute submissions but do feel that they should stick to a deadline and at least have the confirmed list for a full week ahead of time. Changing names at the last minute doesn't help promote the auction at all.

^ You're not alone! :imho:

Receiving the confirming emails that the domain(s) had been accepted and to start to promote the auctions link(s) etc., and then this apparent (as I have no idea what's going on at present!) switcharoo in now not seeing them listed (and also back to "Pending Review" in the account management area) is both frustrating and disappointing, IMHO. :|
No one I know has heard anything further, as well!

Just my two sense.

Thanks Jeff,

In some ways I feel better knowing I'm not alone! However, I am still really ticked off. Once they had sent out the confirmation emails (with no indication this was a "provisional" list) and we had signed off on the names, AND they were already showing on the bidding list, they shouldn't have been taken off. Just when I thought DomainTools had their act together with auctions (after the last few ho-hum ones) they pull an unprofessional stunt like this without even informing us. Who knows now what names will be on the list tomorrow.

I had already begun to send out the specific auction links to various interested parties, and potential End users as well (at their urging in that confirming email that the domain(s) had indeed made the auction)! :|
I feel kind of silly now! :guilty: :red:

Just a quick update on this...There's a slew of blog posts at DomainTools now from other people who've just had their domains yanked off the list at the last minute too. Totally unprofessional and shabby of DomainTools.

Confused.

Righto, I see those posts ... I'm still back to the "Pending Review" status, and still don't see the domain(s) listed in the auction that were there before, IMHO. No email replies either at this time of writing! hmm:

Good Luck today, friends!
