Sorry guys, but I couldn't find anywhere relevant to post this (there doesn't seem to be a "Domain Registrar Discussion" forum?)

Anyways, can anyone else access DomainSite.com? It was working fine for me earlier today, but today when I try to access it, it just redirects to 255.255.255.255 D-:
Anyone know what's up? I've got all my domains registered there and not being able to access their admin panel is quite annoying.

Thanks in advance,
- Daniel

Usually the Domain Discussion forum is fine for posts of this nature :)

I'd just leave it for a bit, it is usually best just to allow time in case they are having difficulties.

Yep same...Long live Domainsite :).

I recently registered a domain yesterday with custom nameservers...It still isnt working (That domain) normally Domainsite works pretty quick too. Hopefully they fix this soon...I can't even access them via a Proxy.

They're back up now. I emailed them last night (when I posted this topic) and received a reply to my email about an hour ago from Rick (he must be their main support guy? The only replies I've ever received from tech support were from Rick :P)

Indeed... I've been using them since December 2004 and have never considered moving elsewhere :)
All my domains are also at DomainSite (I don't have many; only 10). I've got one at NameCheap which I haven't bothered transfering over yet (the only reason I used NameCheap for one was because PayPal wasn't working at DomainSite, and I needed that domain right away :P)

Oh, OK. Thanks, I'll remember that for the future :)

Yeah, I tried name.net as well last night, and that wasn't working either.

I have a question about domainsite

I have registered a domain name a couple hours ago, however, I searched it up on a few whois and they said it's still available to purchase.

Is this normal?

Name.com is on, but only shows availability for .org.

Last night I was going to reg a bunch of domains, after hard works looking, after hard selection (because I only want to reg very solid end user productdomains or maybe something else very special.

But, it got stuck. Then I reloaded everything and to my surprise, suddenly one of the domains was not available anymore. I checked it elsewhere only to see, yes it had been regged minutes after I tried to reg all the names which didn´t work. Name.com still doesn´t work, it still only shows .rg.

The company, or whoever who "took" my domain have this look:

http://www.bestsearch.co.uk/

It has happened earlier, that domains that I found available on name.com´s site, later got taken to be parked on pages that look the same as the one above.

Actually, I became somewhat furious. I wrote a very accusing mail both to the holder of those parking domains (nocta.com) and a copy to name.com where I ask for an explanation.

Then I went to archive org. to find that the domain that became taken, had the same whois as nocta.com back in 2006, and then with the same appearance as now. I don´t want to tell the name of the domain (yet), it was a super, at least very good name, one of those "forgotten to take coms".

Could it be, that nocta (in cooperation with name.com??) in some way have access to the whole system, so that it waits as long as possible in order to reg right after somebody else looks up the name, if you know what I mean.

Any explanations?
