Domains Worth More Forwarded Or Sold In Bulk?

I have been collecting domain names for a couple years and I have sold 2 (I really get attached and haven't really tried to sell any). One was just this past week for enough to float me through for about 1 year on reg fee renewals for about 125 domains. I have about 250 domains. My question is this, (since I am not as savvy with this kind of thing as I would like to be):

If I forward and mask these domains to a few sites that I have up and running, are they more valuable that way than if I put up a package deal for a hundred names on Ebay? Cuz,,, while I think some of my domain names are catchy, not everyone agrees. They are all .coms - I'm good on reg for all of 'em for 1-2 years. Will the links they create by being forwarded prove their worth in possible traffic and will the search engines pick them up as links?

I think the search engines pick them up primarily re the meta tag keywords and description. To effectively link, you need a webpage with functional hyperlinks between the domains.
