Domains that are infected with toxic backlinks that suddenly appear

Hello experts. I have a big problem that has caused me a lot of anger. Several domains that I consider to be of good quality and without incoming backlinks suddenly receive dozens of toxic backlinks. When domain authority tools inspect them, they indicate a large amount of spam. Coincidentally, several are included in SAV, but they point to Afternic. I know that one solution, which is neither practical nor efficient, is to create websites with Search Console to disavow these toxic backlinks. Shouldn't the same platform where the domains are registered handle this? Protect the domains from backlinks that harm them?
Nothing can prevent someone from using a bot to link to a domain, but I think the registrars or marketplaces themselves should filter out toxic backlinks. Doesn't that make sense?
If I have to create a website and disavow toxic domains, then I have to change the nameservers, and the domain will no longer be listed in a marketplace. The problem is that there are hesitations when it comes to renewing these domains, and this leads to registrars losing sales or renewals.
I clarify that my domains did not have spam at all, they were just in Afternic.
Domain names aren't relevant; the fact that they're trying to ruin high-quality domains with toxic backlinks is what matters.
Tool used to check domains: websiteseochecker .com /bulk-check-page-authority/
Thank you for your feedback.

It's 2025, not 2015. 😉

I’m laughing my ass off. (To be clear, I’m not laughing at OP’s ”big problem” but at the mess some have created.)

It’s Google’s job to filter out (ignore) run-of-the-mill backlinks from link spammers. If Google does a bad job and there’s a manual action, then you disavow. But then you’re a webmaster, not domainer.

We’ve started to hear this SEO FUD from domainers who also build websites and/or offer SEO services. They are trying to sell the idea that domainers’ assets should be as clean as possible in the eyes of some proprietary tools. But it’s a dirty world out there and Google knows it. (Google is a dirty player itself, but that’s another story.)

Sometimes domainers happen to buy dropped domains that are blacklisted by Google and therefore browsers block access to a sales lander. That’s an example of a real problem for a domainer, but you can request removal from the list (on the basis of ownership and content change) and poof the problem is gone within a week or two.
