Do you usually buy the accompanying .com if you happen to hand reg a great domain hack in the middle of the night when you suddenly wake up with a great dhack?

Like if you happen to reg MacLov.in would you also reg the accompanying Maclovin.com

To make it more interesting, imaging Maclovin.com would not have made a great brand, because it is not a keyword, But maclov.in would have because it is peppy and appeals to the crowd.

Sure, if the dot com of the domain hack is available, pick it up also. However, if the dot com is still available, it might not be a good hack in the first place.
