Domain Transfer Problem - Help Much Appreciated

Hi all,

First post on here as you can see, needing some help transferring a domain if possible, it would be much appreciated.

The problem for most of you I assume is probably quite a common one.

I'm trying to transfer a domain from a Fasthosts Reseller Account to a UKReg Account [Fasthosts Standard Account], but it wont let me as transferring from a Fasthosts Reseller to a Standard Account comes up with an error, supposedly due to the Resellers and Standard accounts being on different server formats [new and old].

Anyway, the problem is basically as stated above, and I'm not sure how to get around it. The only idea that springs to mind is to transfer to another domain holder and then transfer from there to UKReg, but for that I will need to find a domain holder that doesn't charge for transfers to and from them.

If anyone can help in this it would be much appreciated.

How old is the domain? The reason I ask is because most registrars will not allow transfers for 60 days after the domain is purchased.

The domain was purchased more than 60 days ago.

Hmmm, ok. Have you tried to contact Fasthosts concerning the problem with the transfer? It may just be something simple you are overlooking and they should be able to point you in the right direction.

I haven't as of yet as a good friend of mine contacted them a few months ago about the same problem and they explained that there's nothing they can do about it, so he ended up transferring from the Reseller Account to another Reseller Account [instead of transferring to a Standard Account as he had planned].

If anyone knows a way around this or a place to transfer the domain to and then transfer away from for free then please let me know, much appreciated!
