Hi,

I authorized and inputted the codes to transfer a name from DomainSite to GoDaddy. Everything's fine, but it says "Pending Current Registrar Approval" and it's been that way for almost 2 weeks now.

Is this normal?

Have you confirmed the transfers with the gaining and losing registrars? Two
weeks is too long.

There's a rare chance it could get stuck somewhere. If you did confirm it with
both, contact the gaining one first.

Actually you don't have to confirm with the losing registrar. They'll release it
within 5 days after sending a notice but not getting a response.

Check the Registry of the domain's extension and see who's the sponsoring
registrar now. If the Registry indeed shows the domain's with Go Daddy, then
contact them and have them create an account for it.

(On the side, this post has prompted me to create a graphic explaining how
the transfer process occurs. I'll work on it and post it soon...)

No match for "mattsprojects.net" in the registrar database.

Hmmm...

The Registry confirms the domain's with Go Daddy:

http://www.iwhois.com/index.php?domain=mattsprojects.net&tld=com&lookup=Lookup&clean=1

Domain Name: MATTSPROJECTS.NET
Registrar: GO DADDY SOFTWARE, INC.
Whois Server: whois.godaddy.com
Referral URL: http://registrar.godaddy.com
Name Server: NS1-POLK.NSWEBHOST.COM
Name Server: NS2-POLK.NSWEBHOST.COM
Status: ACTIVE
Updated Date: 05-oct-2005
Creation Date: 28-jul-2005
Expiration Date: 28-jul-2007

That means it's stuck somewhere. Contact Go Daddy about it, most likely they
need to "attach" it to an account.

It rarely happens.

Yea, I think the problem is at the godaddy part, contact them for help.

I have had this a few times. The most common is the party you are buying from has not had the domain for more than 60 days etc. Talk to Go daddy

I think there's an "accept transfer" tab or something there at your GD control panel.
